Basically anyone based in the region or who conducts significant amounts of business with companies or individuals in the region. Ideally they should have control over decisions made by their company or have a degree of influence over these decisions.
[+] Why should members have some control over their company's business decisions?
This is so all members can be comfortable they are in a network of like-minded peers who have the ability to provide services, solutions and plain old advice with the minimum of delay.
[+] I have a business networking group - can I promote it via EMNX?
Absolutely - organisers of business networking events are encouraged to promote their group events via the list. We would also be delighted to include links to their sites on EMNX.com.
[+] Does EMNX have a 'real-world' networking event?
No - EMNX is a purely web-based network and has no plans to hold a 'real-world' event.
[+] What can members post to the mailing list?
Pretty much anything at all - providing it's legal! Business leads, items for sale, services wanted, job opportunities, hints and tips, ideas for brainstorming - anything at all that is business related and would benefit East Midlands-based professionals. This is a business-focused network, so offers of products and services are encouraged - BUT, this should not be taken as an invitation to post standard sales letter blurb every day!
[+] Anything that can't be posted?
Other than the illegal stuff, anything related to what is commonly accepted to be spam cannot be posted. This includes: get-rich quick schemes, work from home services, anything involving consumer drugs, slimming pills - you get the idea!
